Joan Rivers canceled by Fox having called Sarah Palin 'stupid and a threat'

Fox News canceled an interview with Joan Rivers after she called her "stupid and a threat". She blames Sarah Palin for the Tucson shooting, when six people were shot dead.
Rivers made these comments in a TMZ interview when asked whether Sarah Palin should be president of the United States.
She said "I think Sarah Palin is an amazing woman. I think she represents everything strong a woman can be, and I think she should go someplace – to another planet – to show them, and get out of our face."
She went on to say that Palin should be blamed for the attack in Arizona.
"They're right to blame Sarah for the shootings. Go look at her website. This woman is encouraging sandbaggers to reload ... this woman is just stupid and a threat," she said.
Speaking to CNN she said that just after the interview her agent received a call canceling her scheduled appearance on Fox and Friends.
She explained "We got called...So now we call it Fox and Former Friends. They said to our PR lady it was because of what we said about Miss Palin."
Rivers then tweeted "Outcome: DON'T PISS OFF SARAH PALIN. She's apparently 'very powerful', and is obviously still smarting from the end of her reality show."
Fox has claimed that her appearance was canceled due to the "volume of news topics". The news topics included National Penguin Awareness Day, and an assessment of the Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler's performance as a judge on American Idol. Fox said that she should have been rescheduled but was mistakenly canceled.

Good for Joan we need a viper tongue out there to match the dumbed out "milquetoast" Palin. Lets face it anyone that signs up with FOX has to be a thick as a brick retard and FOX certainly has sense of humor.

At least Sara Palin is doing something for her country and not trying to get naked pictures of her daughter in the shower. I think Joan is suffering from Early Onset Elderly Dementia!

Well done Joan you've dragged the tea party worms out of the woodwork.

I say Good for Fox!!!!!! As for Ms. Rivers, I suggest the next time you go in for a face lift, you ask what they can do for your poisonous bitter tongue. She needs help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Considering general opinion about JR (I only know her vaguely - not in US), maybe the Fox-Palin cartel have missed a trick here. It sounds like JR rounding on Palin on the Fox set might actually have been good advertising for SP!

Joan Rivers is not funny, very hard to look at and her many face lifts have tightened the skin around skull to such a degree that it has affected her mental capacity. I would never watch her no matter what show she is on. Right on Fox!!

Can it be? I agree with ms rivers

Joan Rivers? WHO? Oh! You're Joan Rivers. "You used to be in silent pictures. You used to be big." Wow, you even still have opinions....that's so cute. BTW, when she says, "get out of our face", is "Ms Desmond" referring to her origional silent film face or one of the various faces after her obvious multiple facelifts? WHICH "face" does one get out of?

Joan Rivers,Sara Silverman and Kathy Griffin should go on tour to display their vile opinions.Call it the "TRIKES" tour

Golam of the face and of the mind.

The fixation so many have re: Fox news and Sara Palin borders on the pathological. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic. And Joan Rivers, as scary looking as she is ignorant. How these air headed fools get on tv is truly amazing, hence the term idiot box.
LinLinisme | Mar 24, 2011, 06:36 PM EDT
She has an opinion. Her whole career has been about saying outrageous things. Firing her for saying something, wether I agree with her or not, is wrong. Freedom of speech has gone away??????????

Fox, Unlike all of the "right wing wacko organizations" in history seeks to purge and destroy any dissenting or opposite views. How can anyone be surprised that Fox only believes in one view theirs

Joan Rivers is soooo over & she needs to get over herself. Other websites besides Sarah Palin's have crosshairs & bullsyes on them. Hear any comments about those? Not that I've seen. So, shut up, Joan, & maybe it's time for another facelift, huh?

The FOX Propaganda Network is completely disrespectful of everyone who doesn't serve the corporate agenda including the President which according to their own "standards" just several years ago no citizen should ever do lest they be a traitor. Getting cancelled by that worthless network for fools and idiots is a badge of honor.

So much for freedom os speech.

Joan Rivers makes her living by saying outrageous things for "entertainment" purposes. She has a right to her opinions, but no one has to agree with her. Don't like her or her opinions - don't watch or listen to her.

sure joankaren.... sarah palin is responsible for the tuscon shootings. sure. mr loughner believes that the government engages in mind control. he is wearing a thong. he was kicked out of school for his crazy and bizarre antics, yet his actions are as a result of sarah palin. hmmm.. interesting that joan rivers calls palin stupid. joan might want to familiarize herself with mental illness, and actually attribute the shootings to the person who did it.... to suggest otherwise is stupid. (im no palin fan...but it does not allow me to blame her for things that are simply not at all a result of her beliefs or utterances. )

After all these years, Joan Rivers has still got it! She is right about Sarah Palin who is a blight on our nation and shame on Fox for being so partial to that nut, Palin.

You can't discuss differences with a moron.
elektros | Jan 21, 2011, 07:35 PM EST
Like forflann, I was never especially fond of Joan Rivers, but am beginning to warm to her, as she certainly has Sarah Palin pegged
c.hawes59 | Jan 21, 2011, 06:49 PM EST
They should have still had her on Fox and Friends and asked her to back up her opinion. It's better to discuss differences rather than get angry.
haikued2 | Jan 21, 2011, 05:42 PM EST
Joan Rivers was once a funny woman, now she is a stupid, not funny, nasty female canine. Other than that, her multiple face lifts and silly hairdo speak loudly of her relationship to the Wicked Witch of the East. I do not want Sarah Palin to run for President and don't think she will, but she sure scared the heck out of the far left ideologues...so much for politics...see even a nice even tempered person like myself can cut loose on some of the celebrity morons.

You know I never really cared for Joan...but I'm changing my mind as she had the nerve to SAY what many of us think. As for Fox? Just a puppet organization for Rupert Murdock and Billionares Annonymous!!!

THANK GOD FOR PENGUINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
