Irish P.M. Cowen turns into Mr. Shamrock Head at the White House

Bookmark and Share

Amy doesn't often get involved with politics but this picture is too hilarious for words!

On the right hand side is U.S. President Barack Obama and on the left-hand side, why, that's the Irish Prime Minister Brian Cowen hiding behind a bowl of shamrock.

Of course it's hardly Cowen's fault that he got caught out like this but we thought it was just too good to pass up!

The picture was taken on St Patrick's Day at the White House at the annual ceremony which we were shocked to learn involved the massacre of the shamrock at day's end.

The shamrock strikes back!

He looks better that way!
Actually, for once the shamrock will not be destroyed which is the rule for all gifts of plants and food. See our headline under news for March 19th: White House shamrock to be saved and planted Here's the url: http://www.irishcultureandcustoms.com/01News/Home.html
Ha ha! Not only does he have a shamrock head, but there's also a candelabra growing out of it! Why also do our politicians always burst out of their suits and look like a bunch of boggers? Note how beautifuly Obama's suit fits him.
A distinct improvement methinks.
Thanks for the chuckle after a truly depressing day
