The Irish animated movie "The Secret of Kells," has been nominated for best animated movie at the Oscars which were announced today.
The movie, which draws from the myth of the Book of Kells which is famously stored in Ireland's Trinity College, features a young Irish brave heart, Brendan.
The movie tells how imagination and faith can carry us through even the darkest of times.
The movie's hero Brendan lives in a remote medieval outpost where his community is under constant siege from barbarian raids.
However, a magic man arrives looking for help to finish illuminating an ancient book which is supposed to have magical powers.
Yes, as you can imagine, a dangerous quest beckons, into an eerie forest where Brendan meets monsters and - a girl!
Aisling, for she is the girl, is also a wolf-girl, and she befriends Brendan in order to help him overcome his greatest fears to save his family, his community, and the mythical Book of Kells.
