Rumor has it that deposed comedy king
Conan O'Brien might be throwing his hat in for
Simon Cowell’s old job with "
American Idol."
Idol producers are frantically searching for a high-profile replacement for the bitchy Brit.
"Idol bosses think he’d be a huge draw now after all that Leno fuss," a source tells us.
Simon's signed a deal to leave
FOX to leave "American Idol" in 2011.
Other names in the ring include
Elton John,
Jamie Foxx,
Piers Morgan and
Tommy Mottola.
