Bill O'Reilly loses round two to Jon Stewart

Bookmark and Share

Round two of the Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart face off went to Jon Stewart.

Simple as that folks. O'Reilly came out playing rope a dope, saying he was thinking of making Stewart his VP pick for a fictional presidential ticket and wanted to vet him.

Clever move but Stewart was more than able to outfox the old pro.

On almost every issue they went over Stewart won the argument, even getting O'Reilly to admit he apologized on air when no weapons of mass destruction were found in Iraq.

On Iran, Stewart really landed some uppercuts. He pointed out that Pakistan and other countries had nuclear weapons and making Iran an obsessive focus was never going to stop the spread of them.

He even got a great dig in at O'Reilly's war on Christmas by declaring a war on Hannukah.

On global warming he seemed less sure and O'Reilly won that round.

The funniest line was when Stewart told O'Reilly he would not want to be his VP because the only job he'd get would be lighting the White House menorah, a remark that even brought laughter from the studio workers.

On the final question of Sarah Palin, Stewart held his own, denying he didn't like her personally , saying simply he didn't know her.

He knew he was protecting an easy points lead at that point.

So night one to O'Reilly, night two to Stewart, a draw overall.

Lets do it again folks, it makes for great television.

Hey Carrai...do you always hate on conservatives? Why are you so bitter? You obviously do NOT have the pulse of the country.
Jon Stewart ate O'Reilly's lunch. Come on, people. O'Reilly is a tool. Hannity is an unpatriotic, anti-American non-entity. He is a disgrace to his Irish roots. His support of the likes of Sarah Palin speaks volumes about his true support of the USA. The other punk, Glenn Beck, is a phoney of remarkable proportions. He is doing his whole schtick to make money and trouble for Obama. I'd like to give him a slap.
They were both on top of their game and very entertaining. Fox got the good rateings again.
Well, as entertainment, O'Reilly v. Stewart makes for some humorous moments. Not much of a knock down, drag out ... The winners are the show sponsors and Fox Snooze. As for us in the proletariat, comments on both sides seemed above the level of middle school. Stewart is not asleep at the wheel, O'Reilly active and on top of his game. A draw with points scored on both sides.
stewarts a flyweight. he makes fun of people and situations, looking for the cheap joke. when did he ever break a story. he is an opportunistic clown who makes a living preying on peoples lack of intelligence, just check his demographics: the mentaly and moraly challenged.
I've utubed a few O'Reilly bit. What a moron!!!!!! A schoolchild from Ireland or Scotland would have made mincemeat of him, unless he burst a blood vessel, shouted like a lunatic, or used his position to close the debate ..... Toxic, toxic creature
He didn't lose anything. It was not a contest. How much farther to the left can this website go?
It was no contest. O'Reilly was simply outclassed!
AMY! Please get a real life, I though Bill did fine and they interacted great!
Yours is just another subjective opinion. Go Bill, Rush and Glen.
O'Reilly wants to tap in the hip market, yet he wants to do it while mocking those that rule this market. Not smart, but expected of O'Reilly's ego.
