Alec Baldwin will host the Oscars tonight in the greatest comeback since Muhammad Ali defeated George Foreman.
Up to recent times the only headlines about the Long Island Irishman have been about his dreadful divorce from Kim Basinger and his hostile relationship with his daughter Ireland.
Last month he was rushed to Lenox Hill hospital in new York amid suspicions he had taken an overdose.Turned out Baldwin had only taken an ambien sleeping pill.
Apart from that however, Baldwin has made a comeback he could only have dreamed about a few years ago.
He is by far the best performer on "30 Rock" his TV hot show and he outdazzled Meryl Streep in "It's Complicated." A few years back he almost stole 'The Departed" the Martin Scorsese Oscar winning movie.
And now he's back with Steve Martin hosting the Oscars.
