Re-training the American workforce for the 21st century has become a national priority - a necessary step to gain better employment opportunities for workers across the country.
Recently, it has become apparent that common criminals will also need to be re-trained if they are to survive as a profession.
One example of criminal incompetence occurred last week in Chicago, a city known for its expert criminality since the days of Al Capone.
There, a pair of thieves, decided to rob a local restaurant; a basic criminal maneuver. The robbers arrived at the eatery during its busiest time confronting the owner with what appeared to be a hand gun demanding he cough up the cash. The owner explained that he was very busy at the moment and politely asked the perpetrators to return a little later when things at the restaurant were a little quieter, and less people were around.
The thieves agreed to the plan.
Returning to the restaurant several hours later, additionally armed armed with a metal bat, the robbers again demanded the cash. Of course by this time the owner had already called police who were at the scene to arrest the thieves on the spot.
The gun turned out to be a squirt pistol.
Now, Mario Garcia, 39, and Domingo Garcia-Hernandez, 28, both of whom reportedly live nearby; find themselves charged with attempted aggravated robbery.
It is painfully apparent that the accused need to be retrained or find another way to make a living.
