Could Celtic and Rangers soon be playing Premier League soccer after Welsh club Swansea won promotion to the premier Division by beating Reading in a play-off?

Swansea are the first non-English side ever to play in the premiership since it was formed in 1992.

Their rise to the top begs the question whether it may give Celtic and Rangers the opportunity to play too.

Rangers and Celtic are runaway leaders every year in Scotland and their rivalry has dominated Scottish soccer for so long that many are turned off.

However,if both were to play in the Premiership it would attract millions of new fans worldwide to the league.

Swansea, the little Welsh club, may well have opened the door by their surprise rise from obscurity to the premiership.

Will Celtic and Rangers follow?
