Manchester United footballer Wayne Rooney who has peeved off a lot of his fans as of late is going to be the center of attention on Bonfire night this coming weekend.

Rooney, who was going to leave Man United after a fight with manager Alex Ferguson and then at the last minute signed a five-year contract and reportedly cheated on his wife, Colleen, with a prostitute, has been taking a lot of slack recently and the town of Edenbridge in England is setting him alight.

Bonfire night, also known as Guy Fawkes Night, is an annual celebration held on the evening of 5 November, marking the failed Gunpowder Plot of 5 November 1605.

Originally made a public holiday by the Thanksgiving Act of 1605, the occasion is celebrated primarily in Great Britain, although some former British colonies also mark the occasion.

Festivities are mainly centered around the use of fireworks and the lighting of bonfires.

It is usually the Fawke that is burned in the fire but Rooney's life has been going up in smoke for some time the town of Edenbridge are going to help him along.
