Limerick manager Mike Kerley has resigned on the eve of the new League of Ireland season. Interim boss Dave Maheedy will take charge for the start of the league campaign. Defenders Pat Purcell and Brian O'Callaghan have both signed new deals with Limerick, while youngsters Garry Sheehan and Peter White have both left Limerick to move to Wexford Youths.
