Roy Keane has poured cold water on any talk of him moving to Glasgow Celtic to take over as manager of the fallen Scottish giants.

Keane is about to end his first full season in charge of Ipswich and has no desire to desert the Championship side he guided to a disappointing lower mid-table position.

"Be very surprised if you see me walking through the gates at Celtic Park -- except if it's for the Old Firm game on Tuesday week because I might come up for that one," he said.

"Celtic are a bigger club than anyone will ever understand unless they've been involved there. I was there for six months and I had my problems with a few injuries, plus the manager didn't really pick me. The sheer size of the club is staggering.

"Nei (Lennon, caretaker manager) has made that point and I couldn't agree more. Hopefully they will get the right manager and I have to say Lenny is doing well."

Keane ended his playing days at Celtic when made just 11 appearances in a injury plagued six month spell at the club.
