Rory McIlroy has a shot at World Number One if he wins the Honda Classic in Florida. He has a two shot lead entering the final round.

However, McIlroy blew the chance last week when he was defeated in the World Match play championship and he has fluffed major opportunities before, notably  when he blew a three stroke lead at last year’s Masters.

“It’s nice to have the lead going into tomorrow,” he said on Saturday. “I have to try to focus on what I’ve been trying to do all week, which is hit fairways and hit greens and stay in the present, and not think about everything that could happen.

“I’ve just got to go out there and try to put a good number on the board.
