Damien Duff has thanked Fulham boss Roy Hodgson for helping him rediscover his best form this season for the Cottagers.

Duff’s career stalled while at Newcastle United, but the Dubliner has been on fire this season and is a key member of the Fulham side.

“It was well documented that my three years at Newcastle didn't work out so it was a massive move for me to come to Fulham to get my career going again," said Duff this week.

"I knew the gaffer from my Blackburn days so it was always going to be exciting.

"Working with him has sparked me again - I've loved every minute of it and it's been really enjoyable.

"It's just what I needed after my three years at Newcastle. It's been a great season."

Fulham defeated Wolfsburg 1-0 in Germany Thursday to win 4-1 on aggregate and make the semi-final of the Europa league for the first time, where they will play Hamburg.
