Arsenal
-Potential transfers in;
In what is quickly becoming a recurring theme for Arsene Wenger's side another center half is the most likely arrival in North London. The Arsenal squad currently has Laurent Koscielnyi, Thomas Vermaelen, Sebastien Squillaci and Johan Djourou as center halfs, not one of these players can be relied on to play 38 games a season on a consistent basis.
Wenger prefers to buy players from outside the Premiership but may be forced to look to some proven Premiership center halves this January. Gary Cahill is a player that Wenger has flirted with in the past and would bring a toughness that is lacking to the Arsenal defense. Brede Hangeland has been a star for Fulham after signing for the London club a few seasons back. Hangeland has been consistently linked away from Fulham and their lowly league position this season may force their hand. Phil Jagielka is constantly being linked with a move away from Everton but Arsenal are likely to be unable to match Everton's valuation of the player but he would be the perfect signing for the club.
Wenger may also look to add a proven commodity behind his back four with the addition of Maarten Stekelenberg from Ajax or Shay Given from Man City. Although Man City are unlikely to sell Given to a rival.
-Potential transfers out;
Manuel Almunia looks to have all but left the club with his impending transfer only being held up by any prospective suitors.
Neves Denilson is only 22 years of age and unlikely to leave however his lack of playing time this season may result in Arsenal entertaining offers for the Brazilian.

Aston Villa
-Potential Transfers in;
Gerard Houllier's appears to be lacking it's identity. With a youthful midfield and underperforming key players, the squad needs to be injected with new life in various positions.
Robbie Keane has been linked with Aston Villa since the summer and it appears the Irish man is on the way out of Tottenham, whether Aston Villa is his destination or not is another thing but they are sure to be in the hunt. Villa have been mentioned as a potential return for former Liverpool and Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse. The french man has flourished playing his football for Panathanaikos but was very inconsistent when playing in England. He would be a solid backup for Gabriel Agbonlahor as the speedy striker leading the line. David Wheater has been touted as a potential addition from Middlesborough as another center half option while former Newcastle striker Michael Owen and current Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton are also catching the eye of Houllier.
-Potential Transfers in;
Ashley Young has continued to be linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur and while that is unlikely due to the emergence of Gareth Bale in London, Young will have various other suitors throughout the league.
Stephen Ireland's desire to leave Aston Villa has been apparent since he became a fringe player at the club with teams like Celtic and Fulham showing an interest in the Irish playmaker.
Birmingham City
-Potential Transfers in;
Alex MacLeish's team has struggled to mimic the performances of last season as they lie in trouble of relegation.
Like a host of other clubs Robbie Keane's availability has sparked the ears of the Birmingham top hats. Another Tottenham player, David Bentley, has become of interest to Birmingham should Sebastien Larsson move on.
-Potential Transfers out;
Sebastien Larsson's performances this season have caught the eye of many teams this year such as Stoke and Blackburn.
Scott Dann has been linked with both merseyside based clubs Liverpool and Everton.
Blackburn Rovers
Potential Transfers in;
The managerial situation blurs Rovers potential transfer targets as nobody can know how much money Steve Kean has at his disposal.
Roque Santa Cruz has been linked with a return to the club to save him from Manchester City's reserves. Curtis Davies is a potential arrival from Aston Villa while Rovers are admiring Robbie Keane also. Charlie Adam's contract situation has also alerted Birmingham to their chances of potentially signing him.
Potential Transfers out;
Wigan are hoping to resign Jason Roberts.
Outstanding youngster Phil Jones has been linked with a move to Chelsea.

Blackpool
-Potential Transfers in;
Blackpool have hugely overachieved in the Premiership this season and Ian Holloway needs to be careful not to mess with the chemistry in the squad.
Adam Hammill has reportedly caught the interest of Ian Holloway. Hammill is a former Liverpool player starring for Barnsley in the Championship. David Nugent is potentially going to bring some added Premiership experience to Blackpool.
-Potential Transfers out;
Charlie Adam has been linked with both Everton and Blackburn.
Jason Euell is expected to join Hull City.

Bolton Wanderers
-Potential Transfers in;
Bolton manager Owen Coyle has made some very astute signings for Bolton already and has proven during his time in Burnley that he knows how to spot a bargain.
Coyle is looking to add David Jones from Wolves to play with the impressive Stuart Holden. Adam Hammill has also attracted the interest of Bolton. The tricky winger could find it tough to get in the team at Bolton ahead of Martin Petrov and Lee.
-Potential Transfers out;
The big clubs are circling around Bolton as each of the top four Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are fighting it out for the signature of Gary Cahill.
Johan Elmander has also been linked with a host of clubs such as Newcastle and Liverpool after his impressive start to the Premiership season.
Chelsea
-Potential Transfers in;
Chelsea have never been scared to splash the cash under Roman Abramovich but in recent times they have not had any marquee signings. That may change this transfer window.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of players such as David Luiz, the star defender for Benfica, Wesley Sneijder, the sensational playmaker for Inter Milan and German world cup star Bastian Schweinsteiger. Chelsea are looking to revitalize their faltering title bid by also considering players such as Neymar da Silva, the highly rated Brazilian youngster, Phil Jones, the versatile Blackburn star and Joleon Lescott the odd man out in Manchester City's defensive alignment.
-Potential Transfers out;
Stoke are hoping to complete a double deal for Ross Turnbull and Michael Mancienne.
Yuri Zhirkov has been linked with a return back to Russia.
Liverpool are thought to be looking at Daniel Sturridge.
Everton
David Moyes has slowly built a strong Everton squad over the years with some of the most astute signings by any team in the league. Don't expect that to change any time soon.
Moyes has been linked with players who would be brilliant additions to the Everton squad. The quality of Niko Kranjcar has been lost on many people during the Gareth Bale era in Tottenham but he would be a great match for Everton who are thought to be a likely spot for the midfielder. Landon Donovan is hoping to return to Everton for another spell that may result in a permanent move to merseyside.
-Potential Transfers out;
Steven Pienaar has been heavily linked with leaving Everton with Tottenham, Juventus and Inter Milan all hoping to catch his signature.
Bayern Munich have been tracking the performances of two Everton defenders Leighton Baines and Johnny Heittinga.
Fulham
-Potential Transfers in;
Mark Hughes time in Fulham has not been good to Fulham fans as the team lies in the relegation zone but this will signal his first foray into the transfer market. Hughes has show an amount of ability when evaluating players in the past and will need to repeat that if Fulham are to stay up this season.
Hughes will hope to use his links to former Manchester City players Roque Santa Cruz and Stephen Ireland come to Fulham while David Bentley may find himself working with Hughes once again after he flourished for him at Blackburn. Robbie Keane has earned more fans in the Premiership as Fulham have been interested in taking him on also.
-Potential Transfers out;
Zoltan Gera has been attracting interest from both Stoke and Werder Bremen.

Liverpool
-Potential Transfers in;
Roy Hodgson may not last long enough in Liverpool to make a signing but the club is expected to strengthen during the transfer window because of NESV's recent investment. The standard of players in the Liverpool squad is frustrating Liverpool fans exemplified by the recent booing of left back Paul Konchesky.
Liverpool's struggles have come at both ends this season and as such have been linked to various targets. Johan Elmander from Bolton appears like a long shot, while Kopites would be delighted to see Ashley Young in a red shirt before February 1st. The much sought after Gary Cahill has also caught Hodgson's eye as well as both Stoke center halves Robert Huth and Ryan Shawcross. Liverpool have been supposedly looking at Chelsea youngster Daniel Sturridge as a backup to Fernando Torres.
-Potential Transfers out;
Fernando Torres continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield but any transfer is unlikely to occur without an overwhelming offer.
Interest in Glen Johnson has hung over the right back's head all season as Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur continue to clamor for his signature.
Alberto Aquillani is likely to make his loan move to Juventus permanent before the month is out.
