Bill O’Brien, the offensive coordinator with the New England Patriots, has agreed to sign on as the new head coach at Penn State replacing Joe Paterno.

After a spat on the sidelines in Washington some weeks ago between O’Brien and Quarterback Tom Brady, it seems that all was forgiven.

The pair hugged after the game and Brady said “I always enjoy working with him ... I hope he’s here for a long time and I told him that, too.”

Patriots coach Bill Belichick also praised O’Brien, commenting on how he has become part of the collective.

He told the Boston Globe, “We just got to keep going. Coach O’Brien is just like one of the guys on the team. Like coach (Belichick) said, ‘Hey, one man’s down, the next man step up.’ We’re going to carry on. We’re going to go out and execute our plays, regardless of who’s calling them.”
