Notre Dame University is set to make a decision over disgraced receiver Michael Floyd soon. The senior was indefinitely suspended from the football team by Brian Kelly after a drunken-driving arrest on March 20.

On Friday, Brian Kelly said: “What I heard was that he would be meeting with Residential Life this week, and that some kind of decision relative to that meeting would be very soon after.”

Kelly said he does not know what the time frame on the decision from the university’s disciplinary office will be. The football player could be facing a semester-long suspension which could cost him his senior season.

This is the second alcohol-related incident that has resulted in an athlete being suspended for a season.

Kelly said: “My first reaction is always about how can we learn, but that’s me ... I’m not in that other office…He understands he needs to be educated…He’s started that process.”

Kelly also revealed that the team, along with Michigan will wear vintage uniforms during the September 10 game. This will be the first ever night game at the Michigan Stadium. He said the uniforms will be similar to those worn in 1958 to 1962 under Joe Kulharich.

He said “I’m just trying to help you guys piece together what it’s going to look like without me saying and then getting yelled at by our Adidas people that we blew the surprise for them.”
