The Fighting Irish fans turned on Brian Kelly during the game against Tulsa as they began to lose faith in what was happening on the pitch. Notre Dame was beaten 27-28 by Tulsa on Saturday afternoon.

The crowds shouted  "Go back to Cincy," "You blew it," "What's the matter with you, Kelly?" and "You're a disgrace."

It seems that Kelly’s debut season is turning into a living nightmare. Tulsa’s John Flanders picked off Rees, who was playing for injured Dayne Crist, in the end zone with 36 seconds to go.

Kelly, seemingly unabashed, said: “But keep in mind, you better get used to it because that's the way we're playing."

Crist was forced to leave the field in the first quarter after he was knocked out of bounds by linebackers Tanner Antle and was left on the ground clutching his knee. NBC reported that he had ruptured his patella tendon which could cost him the rest of the season.
