The Detroit Lions are 4-0 for the first time since 1980. Their victory against the Dallas Cowboys makes them the first team in NFL history, to win consecutive games in which they trailed by at least 20 points. The Lions are the fifth team since 1990 to start 4-0 after starting 0-4 the year before.

Calvin Johnson is only the second player ever with four consecutive multi touchdown receiving games. Cris Carter being the other, Johnson is the only player to start the season that way however

The Lions returned two touchdowns in a single game for the first time since 2005. It is only the second time in 30 years that they have done so.

In the first three weeks of the season, 31 of the 32 teams used the same starting quarterback in each game. That is the fewest quarterback changes since 1989. Only team to make starting quarterback change was the Jaguars, for non injury reasons.

Before Week 4, teams winning the turnover battle were 28-7.

Michael Vick threw his third interception of the season against the San Francisco 49ers, he didn't throw his third interception until Week 13 last year. He had six total.

Vick is now second among quarterbacks in rushing yards eclipsing 4800 yards on the ground. He needs 71 to catch Randall Cunningham (4928) for the most ever by a quarterback. Vick, 416 passing 75 rushing, became the first player ever to pass for over 400 yards and rush for at least 75 in the same game.

The Texans opening touchdown drive of 10:55 was the longest since the New Orleans Saints in 2008 (10:59).

Drew Brees moved to second on the all time list with his 31st straight game throwing a touchdown pass. He was previously tied for third with Dan Marino. Brees has completed at least 20 passes in 24 consecutive games, the longest streak in NFL history.

Devin Hester's 69 yard punt return for a touchdown was his 15th in his career. He has 11 total punt returns which surpasses Eric Metcalf for the most in NFL history. He already held the record for the most combined returns for touchdowns.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith became the team's franchise leader in receiving yards passing Mushin Muhammed this week.

Tennessee Titans' tight end Jared Cook scored on an 80 yard touchdown reception, that was the longest in 47 years for that franchise.

Hines Ward surpassed hall of fame receiver Don Maynard for the 20th most reception yards in NFL history. Maynard previously had 11,834 yards.

Tony Romo's 20th game with three touchdown passes is tied for the most in Cowboys' history with Danny White. The Cowboys' blown lead today was the largest ever in Cowboys' history. Similarly the Eagles' blown lead was the fourth in franchise history.

Tony Romo's first interception was thrown to former Cowboys' player Bobby Carpenter, Carpenter was also a groomsman at Romo's wedding.

The San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions comebacks mark the first time in NFL history that two teams overcame 20+ point deficits to win in consecutive weeks.

Matt Forte's 205 yards rushing today was the most by any Bear since hall of famer Walter Peyton's 275 against the Vikings in 1977. Forte is third ever Bears back to go over 200 yards alongside Peyton and Gale Sayers.

Vince Wilfork's second interception of his career, means that he now leads the team in interceptions for the season.
