Manhattan Gaels had an easy victory over St Barnabas with a string of scorers accounting for 17 on the day. With a strong wind blowing in their favor in the first half, into the Foley end of the field, it was all Manhattan as they went into the break 0-07 to zero ahead.

The dominance of the Conor’s Hickey and Moroney was pivotal as they moved the ball quickly and intelligently constantly. Moroney had a pair of points in the mix but David Varley in his second game of the weekend, he also lined out for Hoboken on Saturday evening, was also very prominent.

The only clear cut chance St Barnabas had in the first half was an Eddie Hogan shot on goal that Luke Keogh delft with.  After Cormac Fox had the first Saints score to open the second half, the winners had seven of the next eight points with Varley and Neven Higgins leading the way.

Terrence Flynn had a 1-01 in reply while Fox had his second from a free but again Manhattan were able to reply with long range points as they coasted to victory.
