Celtic warmed up for their big Champions League clash against Juventus with a 3-1 win at Inverness on Saturday when manager Neil Lennon gave several fringe players a chance to impress.

Tom Rogic and Rami Gershon made their debut, with Gershon joining Kris Commons and Venezuelan striker Miku on the score sheet.

Lennon said afterwards, “I am delighted, and I think you saw a wee glimpse of what is coming through. Marcus Fraser, Dylan McGeouch, Rogic, young players who I thought were fantastic today.

“Tom has settled in very quickly. You feel sometimes that there will be a wee readjustment period but he has settled in very quickly.

“We know Rami is powerful in the air and he scored a great goal. He had a great debut. And the players on the cusp of the first-team squad like Thomas Rogne and Miku came in and did well.”

Celtic have reported a $20 million pre-tax profit for the second half of 2012, thanks in the main to their Champions League success under Lennon.
