CORK  …….. 3-16

CLARE …….. 0-25

Cork and Clare must do it again to decide the 2013 MacCarthy Cup winners after an epic All-Ireland Senior Hurling final at Croke Park on Sunday.

Clare corner-back Domhnall O’Donovan scored the equalising point two minutes into added time at the end of a pulsating game.

His point came just seconds after Pa Horgan had shot the Rebels into the lead in the all-Munster decider.

A Pa Cronin goal on 64 minutes gave Cork the momentum to finally stamp their class on the game against a young and hungry Clare side.

Clare dominated the opening half but only led by two points, 0-12 to 0-10, at the interval.

Cork’s three goals came in a dramatic second period as Conor Lehane scored the first in the 40th minute.

Goalkeeper Anthony Nash then added a second goal from a 20 metre free - he also had a penalty saved - before the dramatic finale.

The sides must meet again, probably on the last weekend in September, as the final goes to a replay for the second year in a row.

Waterford made no mistake in the minor final with a 1-21 to 0-16 win over Galway in the Croke Park curtain raiser.
