Munster defeated Australia15-6 at Thomond Park in Limerick yesterday to claim another famous win.

Ironically, Munster have an Aussie to thank for their victory.

Former Australian sevens captain Paul Warwick scored three penalties and a drop goal for the home team in terrible conditions.

Australia played their second string side but were never really a threat to a Munster side that was roared on by the crowd of over 21,000.

The score was level 6-6 at half time but Munster dominated the second half and held the Aussies scoreless.

It was Munster’s fourth victory over Australia, after previous wins in 1967, 1981 and 1992.
