Kerry star Paul Galvin will be available for the All-Ireland quarter-final date with Donegal despite a red card in Saturday night’s win over Clare.

The controversial Galvin was sent-off for a high challenge in the second-half of the qualifier which Kerry won easily by 19 points in Limerick.

The Kingdom were one of four teams to win their way through to the last eight on Saturday in the final round of qualifying matches.

Laois sent beaten Leinster finalists Meath crashing out of the championship in Tullamore with Royals boss Seamus McEnaney announcing afterwards that he will make a decision on his future by Friday.

Kildare were never troubled by a Sligo team who never got out of the blocks in Roscommon while Down proved too strong for Tipperary in Mullingar.

James McCartan’s side will now play Mayo in the quarter-finals when Dublin meet Laois and Cork take on Kildare in the other games.
