Following the weekend’s win of 29-9 against Argentina Ireland have climbed to fifth place in the top ten of the International Rugby Board’s (IRB) World Rankings.
 
This means that Declan Kidney’s men moved up two slots jumping above France. The French team, led by Marc Lievremont, side leaked 46 unanswered points in the last half hour of Saturday’s night’s game. They lost to Australia 59-16.
 
Scotland remained in seventh place after their tight and labored victory over Samoa.
 
New Zealand remain in first place having completed their third consecutive grand slam winning tour.
