The Republic of Ireland soccer team bagged themselves a draw against England at Wembley stadium, London, on Wednesday evening.

Ireland took the lead at 13 minutes when Shane Long’s header, from Seamus Coleman’s cross, flew past Joe Hart.

Frank Lampard equalized for England, with his 30th international goal, at 22 minutes, after Sean St Ledger failed to cut out Daniel Sturridge’s cross.

The Three Lions England team had the upperhand for the second have but defense for David Forde, Seamus Coleman, Shane Long and James McCarthy were equal to their efforts.

The turnout of supporters at Wembley was 80,000, with 12,000 away Irish fans in attendance.

Ireland’s draw continues their run of being unbeaten by an English side since 1985.

Despite fears that there would be ill blood between the Irish and English fans, apart from some chanting on the London underground, reported on Twitter, the evening went off without event.
