Ireland captain Robbie Keane is poised to complete his loan move to Aston Villa – much to the delight of manager Alex McLeish.

The Ireland striker wants to maintain his fitness ahead of Euro 2012 this summer and could make his debut against Everton this weekend.

“Robbie is a very experienced player, who has got great movement and can hurt defenders,” said McLeish.

“We’ve got reports that he looks in much better condition than he did this time last year when he joined West Ham.”
