Dublin will enjoy a big Saturday night out on home turf this weekend when they meet Laois in the quarter-finals of the All-Ireland football championship.

Pat Gilroy’s team will feature on a Croke Park double header on Saturday when Mayo and Down will open proceedings at headquarters.

Munster rivals Kerry and Cork will feature at Croker on Sunday in the other two quarter-final fixtures.
Kildare and Cork will get proceedings underway at 2pm with Kerry to play Donegal in the tie of the round at 4pm.

Meanwhile Peter Fitzpatrick has quit as manager of the Louth footballers with Colin Kelly favourite to replace him.

And speculation is mounting that Seamus McEnaney is ready to announce his resignation as Meath boss.
