Jim McGuinness, manager of the successful Donegal team which won the All-Ireland football final, looks certain to join Celtic soccer club as a member of their technical staff.

McGuinness is a hometown hero after leading his outsider team to the All-Ireland title.

Speculation about McGuinness’s future began when he was linked to Celtic soon after winning the All-Ireland.

He is friendly with Neil Lennon the Celtic manager who attended the All Ireland final as his guest.

The Donegal manager  holds degrees in sports science and sports psychology.

McGuinness attended the game between Celtic and Barcelona this week which Celtic won in sensational fashion 2-1.
