Long-term Rangers target Hermann Hreidarsson could be set for a move to their SPL rivals Celtic.

The Iceland international is a free agent after his deal with Portsmouth ended after two years at Fratton Park.

And after looking set to head to Ibrox, his agent, Olafur Gardarsson, has revealed there are two Scottish teams interested in the defender.

“There are no contracts on the table but there may be an option in Scotland as well as others from England,” Gardarsson said in The Daily Record.

“But there is more than one club in Scotland.”

The Premier League outfit have reportedly offered the 34-year-old a deal but he remains in the dark at the moment.

Hreidarsson said: “I’m not sure of what is happening. I must speak with my agent.”
