All-Ireland GAA tickets on sale for $9,380 on eBay

The cancelled and slightly insane auction for the GAA All-Ireland between Mayo and Dublin at Croke Park

It is no surprise that it’s hard for Mayo and Dublin fans to get their hands on tickets for the All-Ireland final on September 22, but an eBay ad selling premium seats for $9,380 (€7,100) show how desperate fans really are.

However the mystery seller decided to remove the auction as he felt the bidding had become out of control and the selling price was “too high.”

The bidding started at $928.50 (€700) but in just two days, after 53 bids it soared to a whopping $9,380 for two premium level Cusack Stand tickets.

So far 1,000 have viewed the listing but sadly for them the seller has decided he’s going to attend the match himself, the Herald reports.

GAA All-Ireland tickets do not go on general sale but are available through county boards and clubs. Fans were made a priority and tickets were available to season ticket holders to attend at least 60 percent of the games throughout the season.
