Aiden McGeady in Cup heaven
Aiden McGeady has admitted that Sunday was the greatest day of his footballing career to date.
Celtic overcame their Old Firm rivals Rangers in the Co-operative Insurance Cup Final but only after extra-time at Hampden Park.
"It was an unbelievable game," McGeady told Setanta Sports.
"Rangers played well, the same as ourselves but we just had that little bit more in extra-time.
"One minute they were up the park trying to get a goal and the next we were down getting a penalty. It was just end to end stuff."
McGeady was unable to put his finger on what gave Celtic the edge in extra-time but suggested that "maybe it was fitness levels, I don't know."
When asked what it was like to beat Rangers in Cup final, an ecstatic McGeady added: "Unbelievable. Even better to score. It doesn't get any better than this!"
