WWE Sheamus wins World Heavyweight Championship in just 18 seconds - VIDEO
Dubliner beats opponent Daniel Bryan in record time
A Dubliner is the new world heavyweight champion after a swift 18 second victory at WrestleMania 28 in Sun Stadium in Miami, Florida on Sunday night.
Stephen Farrelly, AKA Seamus is the new chap. A former bodyguard for Bono and a fluent Irish speaker, Sheamus has landed atop the WWE fighter list.
Sheamus seized an opportunity when his opponent, Daniel Bryan, was getting a kiss from his wife. Taking advantage, he kicked him the head, pounced, and the match was done in a matter of seconds.
Speaking to the Irish Voice recently, WWE wrestler Sheamus spoke about his pride in representing Ireland at the wrestling event.
“I’m representing Ireland again, I’m the champion of the United States of America and there are going to be some great matches, but I’m going to give everything I have to steal the show at Wrestlemania. I’m an Irishman who came up from a small little country, followed his dream, and now I hold the title.”
