Arsenal Update

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has dropped the biggest hint yet that he could stay with the Gunners next season.

Fabregas made the revelation fresh from Wednesday night’s stunning Champions League win over his beloved Barcelona.

The former Barca youth team player was a star performer as Arsenal won their first leg last 16 game 2-1 at the Emirates.

Real Madrid and Chelsea have been linked with Fabregas along with Barcelona.

But the World Cup winner told The Sun: “I’m showing I’m committed to this club and we want to do great things.

“I want to continue working to improve and help us win trophies. We are still fighting in all four competitions.

“We want to win everything and go the farthest possible in all competitions. My future is the last thing on my mind.”

The Spaniard has also claimed that Wednesday night’s 2-1 win was the greatest game he has played in.

He added: “It’s a massive victory. It’s the best game I’ve experienced in terms of quality and intensity.
“They had the ball, they went for it. We had the ball, we went for it.

“I’ve never experienced a game with so much quality on the pitch from both teams. Of course it was the right result.”

Liverpool Update

 Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish will show faith in Joe Cole as the former Chelsea midfielder tries to establish himself at Anfield.

Cole played for new boss Dalglish for the first time in Thursday night’s scoreless Europa League draw away to Sparta Prague.

The substitute appearance was only Cole’s 19th game in a red shirt and marked his return from a recent knee injury.

Dalglish has acknowledged that Liverpool fans have yet to see the best of Cole, signed on a free transfer in the summer.

The Scot admitted: “We have got to be patient with Joe. That his first run out since I came here.
