GQ magazine has just released their list of the men of the year, and each winner named will get his very own magazine cover.
Woulkd you be terrifically surprised to that that this year’s lineup includes Tom Brady, named as the comeback man of the year.
Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms of The Hangover have all been named funnymen of the year collectively.
The smoldering Chris Pine has been named the breakout star of the year. Clint Eastwood is badass of the year (for maybe the fiftieth year running?) and the comeback kid President Barack Obama wins leader of the year.
In the article, Brady, a three-time Super Bowl champion talks exclusively about family, football, and fashion.
"We planned it in like ten days, and it was perfect," he says of his wedding to Gisele Bundchen.
"We went back to the house and I barbecued aged New York strips. We had champagne, a cake, some ice cream. It was a great night. I think you always have this idea that weddings need to be 200 people and you invite everybody, and I’m all for it if people want to do that, but I think there was really something special about just having our parents there."
Romantic guy, no wonder she loves him.

cillowen, now you have a grudge against nice looking people? You wouldn't get me out there being pummeled to the ground by those huge defense players. Not for any amount of money!

Tom claims that his ancestors came from Cork. Looking up some genealogical notes it was found that this was not quiet true. Brady is a common name in Cavan and surrounding counties in the north of Ireland. Years ago when people were coming to America, they had to make thier way down to Cork(Cobh). Oft Times they had to wait two. three or four weeks for a boat. In the mean time they had to give their address in Cork when booking the trip. Fast forward four or five generations and anybody tracing their lineage would come across the address in Cork and assume that their ancestors were from there. The records in Ellis Island would show these addresses also. This is in no way meant to disparage anyone from Cork as thousands sailed from there also. Tom's father spent six years studying to be a Salesian but dropped out after six years before ordination. He was in the Financial Business, Insurance, investment etc, they live in the Bay Area, San Mateo. Tom went to Catholic High School, Saint Juna Perra High School, them on to Michigan State on a football scholarship. He is always quick to point out that he was'nt taken by the Patriots until the one hundred and ninety nine pick in the draft. In his second year with the Patriots, the then Quarter Back Drew Bledsoe came down with an injury and was replaced by Tom. A lot of us had to look up his name in the programme, Here he was in his second year and we a lot of us did'nt know him, a lot of the pundits also. I mean, nobody would really be interested in the 199th pick in the draft. Belichik sent in Brady for Drew and the rest as they say is History. Tom's dad in speaking to The Catholic Mens association a few years back stated that "money does'nt fill the void in people's lives" of course that was before he signed a $75 million dollar contract.

He is a great athlete, and a "No Drama" type. He shows his Irish heritage in many ways, including by marrying a Brazilian. The Irish have intermarried all over the world. Within my own extended kin there are black African, Jewish, Arabic, Asian and Latin American children and cousins as well as the usual English, Australians, French, Austrians, Canadians, Poles and Italians. Easy to do when all ancestors and most aunts and uncles had 9-11 surviving children, many of whom emigrated to places where near or distant cousins already lived.
