"Bob Golic does not do radio for Notre Dame..." Yea we know, obviously the writer of this article is human and made a mistake. Did you think that a 2005 Mac computer wrote this article? Actually, Bob Golic would be better for the show than his brother. Anyone who appeared in the cast of reality tv stars such as Zack Morris, Kelly Kapowski, Samuel "Screech" Powers, and Albert Clifford Slater deserves to be on the no. 1 radio sports show in America.
How could you leave out George Connor or Kevin Hardy?
Bob Golic does not do radio for Notre Dame. Personally, Ross Browner is the best defensive player that I've seen play at ND. Bob Crable was one of the few bright spots in the Gerry Faust era and was a defensive demon. Alan Page was tremendous too, but I only remember his NFL time and have seen his ND play on video. ND has a long way to go to approach the Parseghian/Devine talent and success levels.
Bob Golic and Mike Golic are brothers. Bob actually does radio for Notre Dame I believe and Mike is the one on the Mike and Mike radio. Bob was an outstanding middle linebacker for ND in their National Championship year when they beat Texas. He was with Browner! He was twice 3rd in the NCAA Wrestling Championships, though he only wrestled one month in both seasons. He and Mike are great guys also.
I enjoyed the look back to the "time that was". The blocked kick by Crable led to a change in rules. He ran up on the back of a lineman. I would have liked to see more clips of Hart. He looked like Secretariat in 15 seconds. I also would have liked to see Page in Blue-and-Gold and not as a "Purple People Eater". Browner and Page broke Parseghian's heart along with four others. Golic has quite the personality. The clips on Lyght were quite good. This was an outstanding look back and causes heartache for current fans. The Era of Ara will never come again. It's like Camelot and the sword is back in the lake.
