For those of you who flunked geography, or are functionally illiterate, here is the Oxford Dictionary(UK) definition of IRELAND. Pronunciation: /ˈīrlənd/ an island in the British Isles that lies west of Great Britain. Approximately four fifths of the area of Ireland constitutes the Republic of Ireland, with the remaining one fifth belonging to Northern Ireland. After an unsuccessful rebellion in 1798, union of Britain and Ireland followed in 1801. Ireland was divided into two self-governing areas after World War I. For later history see Ireland, Republic of and Northern Ireland. Ireland is NOT the 26 county gombeen state, no matter how much you would wish it to be so. Sorry if the truth hurts!
For those of you ignorant of world countries, there are two countries -- Ireland and Northern Ireland UK. McIlroy is born, resident and pays taxes in Northern Ireland UK, not part of Ireland, no connection to Ireland. He carries a British passport. 93% of the people of Northern Ireland UK do NOT want to be part of Ireland.
@Byethebay: Co. Down is located on the island of Ireland.
@ Bythebay STFU. Enough of your partitionist bullsh*t. I wish somebody would strangle you to death with your orange sash. You stupid sow.
@ PhlutiePhan...you need to have your eyes checked. There's no comparison between this girl and that greasy Kardashian slut. She's a pro tennis player, so she doesn't need his money. Also, this girl could do WAAAAAAY better than Rory McIlroy, he is so fugly; a Carrot Top clone. It's amazing that this clown can even get a girl that doesn't have to be inflated before use!
Wozniacki is just another Kim Kardashian clone. Once she is through with Rory and her basking in his glorious shadow, she will move on and leave his withered remains in a moor in Northern Ireland. It's all about his money and plenty of naivete to go with it.
Rory McIlroy doesn't live in Ireland, he lives in Northern Ireland UK and carries a British passport.
