Sheamus loses out at WWE Night of Champions
WWE action from Chicago last night saw Randy Orton become the new WWE Champion over Sheamus, John Cena, Edge, Chris Jericho and Wade Barrett. It's Orton’s sixth championship with WWE.
Kane successfully defended his World Championship over The Undertaker in a No Holds Barred Match and Daniel Bryan picked up his first championship with a win over The Miz to become the new WWE United States Champion.
Dolph Ziggler successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship over Kofi Kingston, and Drew McIntyre and 'Dashing' Cody Rhodes picked up the Tag Team Championships in a Tag Team Turmoil match defeating The Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd & David Hart Smith).
Michelle McCool successfully defended and unified the Women’s and Divas Championship. The Women’s Championship was retired for the time being.
Sheamus might not have the gold this time, but there's no question he'll be a high profile main eventer for quite a while to come.
