Ireland defender Seamus Coleman has landed a new contract and a $13million windfall with Premier League Everton.
The Donegal full-back has committed himself to the Toffees until the summer of 2018 under the deal.
Now 24, Coleman was signed from Sligo Rovers for just $100,000 but will earn over $13million on this new contract.
The Ireland international said: “I’m over the moon. I’m glad to get it all done and to sign for so long at a club like Everton is a great achievement - I want to be here for as long as possible.
“Signing a contract here is fantastic and I’m really looking forward to the next couple of years.
“I’m going to keep working as hard as I have done since day one and keep improving every day in training to impress the manager.
“I’m really happy to have signed for the length of time that I have.”
Coleman has made 49 Premier League appearances for the Merseysiders but is currently out injured.
Meanwhile club-mate and fellow Irish international Darron Gibson has been ruled out for a month with a thigh strain.
Manager David Moyes said: “I think he’s going to be out for about four weeks.”

So, what is his sanding with the Irish National squad? The current national squad is topheavy with oldtimers. Trap has to go and the squad needs to develop young talent.
