“Istanbul is a magnificent place to live and work. The people were so friendly to me and my wife and daughter during my years there and I believe the city has got so much better since. I had a fantastic time.
“We know Roy’s time at Ipswich didn’t end all that well and he’ll be wanting to get stuck back in. I don’t see it as being a strange move. He wants to manage and this opportunity has arisen.”
