Robbie Keane scored again as the LA Galaxy qualified for the MLS Cup final despite losing 2-1 to the Seattle Sounders in the second leg of the Western Conference final on Sunday.

Keane is likely to see a return to the Premier League on loan when the MLS season draws to a close this weekend.

Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni confirmed, “I spoke with him about this situation after the game in the Faroe Islands when I told him I would look at other players for the friendly games.

“I said, ‘You have the opportunity, it’s up to you what you want to do.’ It would be good if he didn’t go three months without football but he did say his club were likely to go on tour in Asia.”

The reason Keane cant score for the the Irish team is that he is no bloody good ! "It has to be the coaching coaching " ,what a stupid statement . He must know at this stage how to kick a ball .What influence can Trappatoni bring to bear on scoring ,he is not playing ! The whinging of the soccer crowd is pathetic ,paying exhorbitant sums of money to illiterate gobshites who wouldnt hit a barn door from the inside !
So, why can't Robbie Boy score for the Irish National squad? It has to be the coaching. The play for a nil-nil result is just not acceptable. Trap is outdated. Italy sent him on his way. The Irish must do the same.
