Kilkenny chairman Paul Kinsella has welcomed Brian Cody’s decision to remain in charge of the All-Ireland champions for a 15th year next season.
Kinsella said, “It is no mystery that Brian Cody takes a break after the championship and we don’t talk about managers or what his plans are.
“That is a regular occurrence and it was the same this year. He took a break and we left him alone. Maybe some people were starting to wonder, but we always have that month or so when Brian is allowed time and space.
“It’s great now that he and his management team have decided to stay on for next year. It means that everybody knows the routine, everybody knows what to expect and there is no level of uncertainty.”
