Yea Paidi was a member of the Kerry team that included bomber Liston Pat Spillane Jack O Shea and a host of others who were were just invincible as a team, living in Cork we would call to bombers pub in ballybunnion and Paidi pub in Ventry west Kerry when touring in the 70s,pound for pound he was the toughest little player i ever saw on a football pitch and a man who just loved his native sod of Kerry,a man you would best describe as the salt of the earth.

What sad news of a man so young. Páidí was one of the great Kerry defenders. If I hadn’t been so injured as to have to give up inter-county football in my twenties, I would probably have been marked by Páidí. Little hope that I might have scored… in 8 All-Irelands, only one point was scored by a man marked by Páidí. A great record by any standard. Ar dheis Dé go mbeidh a anam.
