Notre Dame’s Michael Floyd arrested for drunk driving
Football player caught drinking on campus
Notre Dame receiver Michael Floyd is in hot water after being arrested for drunken driving on the campus on Sunday morning.
The five star receiver who opted to stay in South Bend for another season faces a misdemeanor drunk driving charge --his second in fifteen months.
The arrest took place only days before the annual Spring practice begins, a vital time for the team.
There was no immediate comment form coach Brian Kelly or Notre Dame authorities.
Floyd is key to Notre Dame’s new season. He is the school's all-time leader in touchdown receptions, among several other records he achieved in 2010.
He was arrested for underage drinking in Minneapolis in January 2010.
He was considered a likely first round draft pick but choose to stay with the Fighting Irish.
