“If Notre Dame gets in, it will be the most watched cable program in history,” Adgate said. “We’re talking 30 million, just because it’s Notre Dame.”
This season could help Notre Dame in "securing its next generation of fans."
“Teams fade,” said Harvey Schiller, a longtime sports executive and the former commissioner of the Southeastern Conference. “Back when the Chicago Bulls had Michael Jordan, they carried the television package. Today, it may be Miami. I’m not even sure a teenager today knows Notre Dame is in Indiana. But they know Notre Dame this year. They know Notre Dame is good.”

One of the greatest games of this fabled rivalry. USC ND are the best of college rivalries. In terms of Heisman Trophy winners, ND has 7, USC 6. Goal Line stands are rare. A 6 play goal line stand is incredible! Big Win for N.D. When the Catholic haters reassemble, it'll be anyone but ND for the National Title. Interesting how the players interview all pointed to their strength of Faith.

Actually, there is a D-1 Irish Catholic school playing football which is more Irish than the Irish. BC finished 2-10 and is "going south for the winter".Frank Leahy won a mythical national championship at BC in 1940 and beat Tennessee in a big bowl game. He then went to ND. Also, there is a lot of respect for Manti. However, Luke Kuechly is now the best defensive player for the Carolina Panthers as a first year player after starring at BC as a junior last year with visibly better statistics than T'eo. "It all depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."

B. Kelly deserves every plaudit. However, the "Roll Tide" wagon will be lots tougher to stop than a crippled USC squad. An ominous sign is the one where Golston has obviously been reading his press clippings and his head doesn't quite fit his helmet. Late in the game, he missed a wide open receiver in the end zone and also forced some throws to the big tight end. Rightfully, Coach K was furious. This has to be corrected before 'Bama makes its appearance.

Manti Te'o for Heisman or redefine the Heisman as Offensive Player ONLY. Charles Woodson of Michigan was the only Defensive player to receive the Heisman. Manti had twice as many tackles as Woodson this year!
