Notre Dame Football scores high on and off the field

The Fighting Irish rank No. 1 in graduation rates for student-athletes in various categories among major football colleges and universities according to reports by both the Department of Education and the NCAA’s Graduation Success Rate Numbers (GSR).

So strong is the university academically that according to Notre Dame’s institutional research that the South Bend Univeristy ranks number 1 in eight of ten major categories. Notre Dame matched its number of eight number one rankings in 2009.

In all 5 GSR categories Notre Dame leads the nation. These categories include for all student-athletes (at 99 percent), male student-athletes (98), female student athletes (100), black student-athletes (98), and football student-athletes (96).
