Americans disrespecting the Irish flag, of course. Nothing new there since disrespect is part of their mantra. This game is between two US college teams, no interest there for anyone in Ireland.

Americans and their continuing attempts at puerile name calling. Laughable, ha, ha. Shows the level of their intelligence,oooppps, lack of intelligence!

American law forbids using the flag like this; how would people here feel if Notre Dame tromped through the mud wearing the US flag on their dirty feet? This is misguided and disrespectful to Ireland's national flag.

Hate to burst the self important bubble of the Americans but this Notre Dame-Navy game means nothing to Ireland or the people of Ireland or Dublin.

thanks in advance for the tolerance and kindness that the residents of Dublin will show to visiting Notre Dame fans who will surely, some of them, make ssses of themselves. keep in mind they will spend a fair amount of cash, they love (their idea of) Ireland, and they will go back home to Cleveland and Pittsburg and Palo Alto before you get totally fed up with them, eh?

Why don't they do that to the American flag????
