I must admit this story gave me a great laugh & a ‘Fair Dues’ salute to him... BUT! But but but!.. This shows up a huge security blunder by the Lansdowne Road stadium staff. What’s worse about it is the publicity that has been given to the story, especially via YouTube and how he got pitch-side with a bag of balls. Now every wanna-be terrorist has the makings of a plot to slip in and hit the Olympics in London next year, or ANY sporting event anywhere in the US or any country. A bag of balls casually slung over the shoulder? Nope; how about a bag of bombs looking like balls... Suddenly Conor’s caper is not funny anymore.
