The Irish beat up on two minnows in Faroe Islands and Kazekstan. They were minnows and they still suffered bite marks. Germany went into Dublin and blew them out. They have played three matches with 7 more to follow. There is no way that they now beat an inspired Sweden side. Austria will also take their measure. The next round of matches will not be until late March. Trappatoni has to go. A new manager will have plenty of time to make changes. Trap obviously plays for nil-nil. In one qual match for the Euros, the Russians outshot them 24-3. They were clobbered in the Euros. They were the first team out. There is plenty more of that unless they make changes. Obviously, they need a player of the caliber of that Irish lad Clint Dempsey. Keano is great but he is used in a manner which obliterates his many "lucky charms".
