Celtic Park

Glasgow Celtic dropped valuable points at home to Motherwell on Saturday as Ranger capitalized on their misstep by beating St. Johnstone 2-1 to go one point clear of the Bhoys at the top of the SPL.

The Bhoys were once again wasteful in front of goal and missed a host of goal scoring opportunities in front to frustrated fans.

Samaras, McGeady and McGinn all came close over the course of the game and Scott McDonald missed a gilt-edged opportunity to take the three points in time added on at the death when his header sailed over the crossbar.

With Rangers capitalizing on the Bhoys draw to jump in to the lead at the top of the table, Celtic will have to out their scoring boots on and soon it they are to sustain a challenge for the SPL title.
