Frankly I think the Irish would find American football a tad boring. Too many breaks in the action for American football to be of interest to the Irish compared to the GAA games and soccer football.

Dan, time to go to your retirement village Boca Raton Why is it the US send us Old Folk as ambassadors. I know they have wisdom etc, but we need youth and vigor for the Irish posting, seems like we are a pasture nation where the State Dept can ship out those who have donated big time to campaigns etc and little or no harm can be done.
